Why teams switch to N2W

One product. Real savings.

A single product

N2W covers AWS and Azure in a single console with the same policies. Veeam ships Veeam Backup for AWS and Veeam Backup for Azure as separate products with separate plug-ins (and extra costs + complexity).

Better cost controls

N2W schedules non-critical compute to power down during nights and weekends (Resource Control), ingests existing snapshots into archive tiers (AnySnap Archiver), and supports Wasabi and Azure Blob.

Recovery in 4 clicks

N2W's Recovery Scenarios lets you orchestrate full failovers and failbacks, with resources coming online in the order you specify. Network restore included. Veeam ships orchestration only in certain editions.

Cut backup complexity and costs

Much more than just smart archiving, N2W takes a holistic approach to cost-savings.

How N2W saves you more:

Avoid the data breaches

N2W is IaaS and runs as an instance or Azure VM inside your account, secured to your standards. We make license calls. That's it. No customer data ever leaves your environment.

The Veeam Data Cloud SaaS option runs in Veeam's environment, with your data managed by Veeam. If data sovereignty and "we control the keys" matter to your auditor, the SaaS option may not pass.

Stop paying for two backup products

If your team runs AWS and Azure, Veeam wants you to deploy Veeam Backup for AWS and Veeam Backup for Azure, each with its own plug-in to Veeam Backup & Replication.

N2W is one product covering both clouds. The same policies and workflows apply to AWS accounts and Azure subscriptions. And because both clouds live in the same product, N2W can restore an AWS workload into Azure (or an Azure workload into AWS) for cross-cloud DR.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about Veeam vs N2W

What does N2W back up that Veeam Backup for AWS doesn't?

right arrow

The supported service lists overlap heavily. The real differences sit elsewhere: Resource Control for compute cost savings, native AWS + Azure in one product, Recovery Scenarios for orchestrated failover, multi-generation FLR, and Wasabi as an archive tier.

Is N2W cheaper than Veeam?

right arrow

N2W is priced in tiers from $249 to $1,249 per month, with custom pricing for larger enterprises and MSPs. Costs don't scale linearly with how much you protect. Veeam's price depends on which path you buy: Veeam Data Cloud (the SaaS-managed option) is $42 per TB per month, while the self-deployed Veeam Backup for AWS and Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure software is licensed per workload, annual, and lacks transparent pricing. With N2W’s built-in cost-savings, customers can save much more than they pay for the N2W license.

Does N2W work for Azure-only customers?

right arrow

Yes. N2W covers Azure VMs, Azure SQL, Azure Disks, Azure Blob (with intelligent tiering), and VNets with Recovery Scenarios, archiving with ZeroMD, and Resource Control.

How is N2W deployed?

right arrow

N2W deploys as an EC2 instance or Azure VM inside your account, from AWS Marketplace or Azure Marketplace. With practically no learning curve, you can spin up a trial and run your first backup in ~20 minutes.
