Google Cloud backup & recovery, in your own project
Your Compute Engine VMs and disks, protected from the same console you already use for AWS and Azure. Backups stay in your project, on your terms, under your control.

Snapshot copies across regions
Backup is the easy half. Recovery is where Google Cloud setups can fail, because a snapshot sitting in the same region as the thing it protects is not a DR plan.
- Copy snapshots to other regions, so a failure that takes out one region does not take your backups with it.
- Copy from a single source. No intermediate copy to create. Google Cloud separates where a backup is stored from where it can be recovered, so a copy in another region is directly usable rather than a staging step.
- Restore an individually protected disk into another region.
- Choose what the recovered VM looks like: custom IP, VM name, zone, disk size, disk type, labels and tags. Recovery is not a coin flip on configuration.
Your project. Your data. Your control.
N2W runs inside your own cloud account
That is a different arrangement from a managed backup vault. Google's Backup and DR Service stores backups in Google-managed infrastructure, per Google's own documentation.
- No N2W-managed storage and no N2W-held copies. N2W automates the work; you hold the data.
- The console can live in any of your clouds. Wherever you run it, Google Cloud backups stay in your project.
- You pick the project and the region, which is what makes residency requirements answerable.
- Encryption with Google default keys or your own CMEK.
One console. Three clouds.
Adding Google Cloud means adding an account to the N2W you already have, not standing up a second deployment. Deploy once from any cloud.
- One place for policies, schedules, retention, reporting and alerts across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
- Labels and tags behave like AWS and Azure tags, so the policy patterns you already use carry over.
- The Unprotected Resources view includes Google Cloud
