When businesses moved to AWS, many assumed their data was automatically protected. But under AWS’s Shared Responsibility Model, AWS secures the infrastructure—not your data. And until 2019, AWS didn’t even offer a backup solution.

For years, companies lost critical data to accidental deletions, outages, and attacks, only to realize—too late—that cloud backup wasn’t built in.

Our founder, Uri Wolloch, saw this problem before anyone else.

As a software developer and AWS expert, he recognized that cloud users needed a purpose-built backup and recovery solution—one that worked with the cloud, not against it. So he built something better, faster, and cloud-native from the ground up—long before cloud data protection was even a category.
