N2WS v2.4! Our primary goals with this release were to meet the needs of our customers who were looking to dramatically reduce costs for data being retained for longer terms, as well as save valuable time by increasing backup efficiency. We are happy to introduce this new version which supports Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) snapshot decoupling and the N2WS-enabled Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) repository. Customers can now reduce storage costs by up to 40 percent! Other new and enhanced features of N2WS v2.4 include:
- VPC capture and clone: Customers can optimize their backup and recovery process by automating the VPC configuration during a restore.
- Enhanced RESTful API: Customers can save valuable time with new API enhancements such as monitoring the status of backups from their own console and triggering the recovery without leaving their environment.
- Cross-account incremental backups: Customers can further lower their AWS bill by only capturing changes means more efficient use of storage space and faster backups and restores.
