Announcing NEW N2WS Backup and Recovery v2.6 which lets you protect even more AWS services under one console. The new v2.6 AMI is now available and ready to for you to launch!
With the mushrooming cloud of AWS services, you’re likely using more than a few to run your organization. But wouldn’t it be great to have a single solution to manage backup, recovery, and your entire data lifecycle? With this release, we have expanded our coverage of core AWS services, enhanced options for file-level recovery and provided a host of new reporting capabilities.
NEW Backup and recovery for Amazon Elastic File System (EFS).
In this release we have tapped into AWS APIs to provide scalable backup and recovery of your EFS workloads. Users no longer have to manage protection of their EFS resources independently of other AWS workloads. Now, users can consolidate protection of all AWS workloads from the N2WS console.
With N2WS, customers can backup and recover file-level resources with ease, automate retention, transition backups to cold storage and apply tags to existing EFS resources.
We’re not big fans of inefficiencies here at N2WS, so wanted to make sure users were able to configure their backups as many times as they needed using N2WS’ tried and true flexible backup scheduling without creating an excessive number of snapshots during off-hours. Our team has worked hard at work these past few months to make sure EFS could be included in your N2WS console. We hope you like it!
NEW File-level recovery for encrypted volumes
Big news for data protection: N2WS Backup & Recovery now supports file-level recovery for encrypted volumes, removing the need for decryption during the backup and recovery process. Version 2.6 gives you seamless file-level recovery how and when you need it. It lets you browse, search for, and download individual files (encrypted or not) —keeping your workloads secure and breach-free.
What’s new in Reporting?
In our second release of 2019, we’ve enabled automated scheduled reports to cover all data compliance needs. Data compliance can be a challenge and at any time you could be asked to produce reports proving that you are taking backups of your data. With N2WS Backup and Recovery 2.6 you can automate reports on-demand or on a schedule giving you the information you need, when you need it.
As an added bonus, version 2.6 uses the latest version of Ubuntu providing the most-up-to-date security enhancements. Access the full release notes and upgrade instructions here.
